Rise: A Story of Shipwreck and Hope

Rise: A Story of Shipwreck and Hope is an upcoming street-theatre production that will tour the North East U.S.A. (Boston, Washington DC, New York) between July 27th- Aug 14th.

Loosely inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, this 15-minute interactive play asks both audiences and performers: how can we weather the storms of life, and find the shores of peace? Presented by our youth ensemble, and featuring live music, large puppets, interactive storytelling and choreography, this dynamic play is a joyful way to create connection and community, and bring peace to the streets!

Our journey will take us to significant sites such as Downtown Crossing in Boston, the Lincoln Memorial in D.C. and Washington Square Park in New York.  Each performance will be accompanied by a “meditation station” where audiences can rest and renew before and after each performance.
