Lawrence (Lawry) Hutcheson

Stage Design

Lawry's journey is a blend of education, art, and adventure. For 14 years, he's been igniting minds as a math teacher at Boston Day and Evening Academy, all while crafting inventive plays with The Actors' Shakespeare Project. His creative spirit was honed early, working with The Weston Drama Workshop and later delving into studio art and sculpture at Vassar College. From NYC's design scene to building straw-bale homes in Arizona and Montana, Lawry's path is marked by diverse experiences. Now, nestled in JP with his family, he showcases his recent printmaking at JP Open Studios and online. Excited for new collaborations, he's diving into "Mothers of Freedom" with enthusiasm.
