Julie Mandal

Performer

Julie trained in Performance Art and worked as a performer, actor, Stage Manager and Assistant Director in regional theatres in Germany, before moving to North America. She currently brings her theatre and improv training to her roles as an advisor on strategic planning and culture design for nonprofit organizations.

She has attended the Second City Improv Training Program in Toronto, and was involved in the TEV Canada productions: “Blah-Di-Dha Film Festival”; “Veni Vedi Whatever”; and the audio theatre production “The Light Princess”.  She also co-created and performed in TEV America’s upcoming video-play, “Lucy and the Thoughts,” and has worked as a teaching artist in Improv and Theatre at the Nirmal Arts Academy in Canajoharie, NY. Her biggest contribution is developing original material with depth and introspective elements.

She is a frequent speaker at conferences and staff training events for not-for-profit organizations.  She focuses on organizational culture that enables innovation and engagement, and has brought Theatre Improv into the corporate realm to support people in Change Management Initiatives.  As a coach, she approaches life as the ultimate creative act and helps clients find the life and work they want to have.

In all her roles, she enjoys supporting people and organizations in expressing their values through their work, facilitating a deeper understanding of why and how we do the work we do.
