Alexandra Maitland Hume

Performer

Shortly after graduating from Plymouth University in 1996 with a BA Hons in Theatre Arts and Performance Studies, Alexandra joined TEV becoming one of its founding members. In between touring in Europe and India with Molière‘s, The Imaginary Invalid, she appeared in the film version of La Boheme for Music Theatre of London, played Clenna in Baloopa’s Journey – a TEV production for schools – and had leading roles in The Betrayed Prophet, Linneus Prince of Flowers (awarded a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Festival) and Terry Wright’s Song of Songs.

Alexandra moved to Italy in 2002, where she continues to appear in both English and Italian language productions. She is currently playing Lady Macbeth in Monia Giovannangeli’s Shakespeare’s Women, which has already toured throughout Europe. In addition to acting, teaching and working as a Voiceover artist, Alexandra has recently completed a 3 year MA course in Drama Therapy.
